Use one of our guides below to join the server.

In order to join Defined-Rails you need to have a legitimate Minecraft account, cracked accounts will not work. All guides below are made for Microsoft Windows, installation on other operating systems may work differently. 

1. Download the Twitch Launcher if you haven't already (link: https://updates.twitchapp.net/windows/TwitchSetup.exe) and login using your Twitch account.
2. Head to 'Mods' tab and select 'Minecraft'. Click on 'Browse modpacks' and enter 'Defined-Rails' in the search box. 
3. Open 'Defined-Rails (by Hooft99)'. Click 'Install' in the top-right corner, the modpack should now install (proceed to step 4 when installation is complete).
4. Click 'Play' in the top-right corner, this will load up the Minecraft launcher. Login using your Minecraft account.
5. Open 'Installations' in the top-left corner, and click on the Defined-Rails profile.
6. Click on 'More settings' in the bottom-right corner, remove the '-Xms..m' variable and change the '-Xmx..m' to meet half the ram your pc has available (check your ram). I.E. if your pc has 8GB available, change the -Xmx variable to '-Xmx4G' or '-Xmx4096m'. 
7. Click 'save' in the bottom-right corner and head over to 'Play' in the top-left corner. Now click 'Play'. Minecraft will now start and you should be able to play Defined-Rails.

1. Download and install Technic Launcher if you haven't already (link: https://www.technicpack.net/download).
2. Download and install 64-bits Java if you haven't already (link: https://www.java.com/nl/download/manual.jsp).
3. Open Technic Launcher and login using your Minecraft account.
4. Head over to our technicpack page and click on '+ Install This Modpack' (link: http://bit.ly/2jnzMqV). Follow the steps on your screen. The modpack should now install to your computer (proceed to step 5 when installation is complete).
5. Click 'Launcher Options' in the top-right corner and in the pop-up window click the 'Java Settings' tab. Make sure to select 64-bits Java and assign half the memory your computer has available (this will prevent client-side lag).
6. Click 'Play' in the bottom-right corner and wait for Minecraft to load.
7. You can now play Defined-Rails!

1. Download and install the Minecraft Launcher if you haven't already (link: https://www.minecraft.net/nl-nl/download).
2. Download and install 64-bits Java if you haven't already (link: https://www.java.com/nl/download/manual.jsp).
3. Run Minecraft and login using your credentials.
4. Click the 'Installations' tab (in Minecraft: Java Edition) and click 'New'. Enter the following information: 'Name: Defined-Rails' and 'Version: release 1.7.10'. Click on 'Create' to complete the process.
5. Select 'Defined-Rails' in the bottom-left corner and launch the game. Once the game is completely loaded you can close it again, also make sure to close the Minecraft launcher in case it opens again.
6. Download and install (select 'Install client') Minecraft Forge (link: http://bit.ly/35ioPxA).
7. Open the Minecraft Launcher and click the 'Installations' tab again. Click on 'Defined-Rails' and change its version to 'release.1.7.10-Forge10.13.4.1614-1.7.10' (the version should be listed at the bottom). Finish by pressing 'Save'.
8. Launch the game and when its loaded close it.
9. Download the pack and extract it in your '%appdata%\.minecraft' (link: Click here). Make sure to remove or rename another 'mods' folder to prevent any conflicts. 
10. Launch Minecraft again, open 'Installations' in the top-left corner, and click on the forge profile. Click on 'More settings' in the bottom-right corner, remove the '-Xms..m' variable (if listed) and change the '-Xmx..m' to meet half the ram your pc has available (check your ram). I.E. if your pc has 8GB available, change the -Xmx variable to '-Xmx4G' or '-Xmx4096m'. Save these settings, head over to the 'Play' tab and launch the game.
11. Once your client has loaded head over to 'Multiplayer'. Click 'Add server' and use 'Name: Defined-Rails' and 'IP: play.defined-rails.com' to connect to the server.
12. You can now play Defined-Rails.
